2. All I Wanna Do is Rock
So why is Tonia reacting like this, you might ask?
Well, it could be that a bit of this…
Equals an abundance of these…
This is not one baby, by the way, but a stack of babies on top of each other. Creepy game.
Tonia gave birth to three babies, Wii two. Not the sextuplets I was hoping for, but not bad.
Also: epic stacked moodlets for the win!
I can’t remember who gave birth to whom, but the generation this time is ‘rock, marble and stone’ and we have four girls and a boy. I’ll introduce you to them on their toddler birthday seeing as on super-speed, babyhood just lasts a day.
Appropriate decor is appropriate.
‘Oh yay! Wii is becoming an elder which means she will probably die and leave me with five screaming brats!’
Oh shush, they’re ageing quickly too. And here they are: Uluru.
Ice Cream Slab…
As you can see, the kids also have IFs although we don’t have enough time, potions or room to make them all real. Still, for posterity, Golem’s is called Eldrad
Ice Cream Slab’s is PestleMortar
Weeping Angel’s is Stone Dalek
Uluru’s is called Grand Canyon
For some reason I don’t have a pic of poor old Rockery with hers, but it’s called Pebbles and that might even have been an EA name which I kept for being appropriate.
Poor cowardly Tonia really hates having five toddlers all at once. I made several of them evil so they could reap the benefits of each others’ misery.
Despite the passion-killer you might think all these babies would be, these two are always rolling up lovey-dovey wants.
For a family whose legacies are based on arranged hook-ups according to looks, the Knights are often surprisingly loving.
How come when this was an uglacy, only the pretty townies seemed to be breeding, and now it’s a prettacy we have the reverse?
Even though she’s left to her own devices, my ghost horsey is skilling up, bless her.
Someone asked me in the last chapter about jobs. The Knights have jobs. They just don’t tend to keep them very long.
Two days of toddlerhood can still feel like an eternity…
We bought a karaoke machine and the newly aged up kids loved it. Golem immediately rolled up the want to be a lead singer.
As did Rockery.
Golem’s also making an early heirdom bit by shameless showboating: hanging out with his IF, singing and being the King of the Royal court…
…as well as sending out the slight incest vibes this family thrives off…
I’m not writing off Ice Cream Slab though, who’s really cute.
Rockery has potential…
…but the other two have definitely been hit with the ugly stick. (Or should that be the Wii-mote?)
‘Boo to me not being heir!’
Like you’d want it. It’s all multiple babies and enforced marriages.
Don’t look! It’s hideous! But also: don’t blink! Aaaargh!
I know it’s all in the hair, but he is kind of adorable.
Even though the kids have never been to school, Rockery is still managing to do homework somehow.
She’s certainly one of the more conscientious members this family has had.
And the only Knight in a long time, possibly ever, to get an A.
‘Oh yay I get to be old now’ – yes, and potentially leave these poor children motherless. Thanks for that.
Mighty White putting in loads of effort into the jumping…
Teen time! Ice Cream Slab is cay-oooot.
Rockery is pretty cute too, though I think Ice Cream Slab edges it between the two.
Golem isn’t quite as adorable as I’d hoped but still not bad.
This brother/sister duet thing isn’t at all creepy, is it?
Nope. Not at all.
Stop it with the homework before you’ve even gone to school, missy!
Ice Cream Slab is bucking this generation’s trend and wants to be an equestrian. Never going to happen, but I locked it in anyway seeing as we’re long past expecting LTWs to come true.
What?! Tonia was only an elder for one day!
Then the weirdest thing ever happened. A pet got added to the portrait panel and we got this pop-up:
So does this mean Tonia’s spirit is living on in a cat?
It’s an odd looking beast, but I feel mean kicking it out seeing as Tonia bequeathed it to us. So we renamed it Rolling Stone and let it stay.
The kids finally got to go to school, so you know what that means…
…well, for one thing, it means that the short lifespan is giving everyone in town a lot of grief…
…this one is coming home with them, btw.
…and she’s cute.
No time to be picky, she’s going to be the mother of our children.
Her name is Mandy Nathan-Daye. She’s at least fourth-generation townie and has some Knight in her background, but she must have some Populous genes somewhere, because look at her! Stick a blonde wig on her and she could easily be one of Bebe’s identikids.
I don’t know whether or not I’ll go for Ice Cream Slab or Golem as the heir so I’m getting them both to schmooze Mandy.
Ice Cream Slab wanted to ask her to the prom they’ll never actually make. Awwww 😦
Since Weeping Angel is the only one who is best friends with her IF, I let Stone Dalek take our last potion.
Here’s the fella. He has the blackest eyes. Fitting for a Dalek, I guess.
There was a show going on in the park, so I sent Uluru to watch it. Meg White, one of the white gen IFs, was performing.
I thought she was pretty good.
Uluru begs to differ.
She will be ours.
Oh yes, she will…
We got an Oh my Ghost! opportunity and I wasn’t 100% sure if teens would get taken away by the game if all the adults died, so I sent Wii to resurrect Tonia just in case.
Now that’s what I call bad timing.
Fortunately, the kids didn’t get taken away.
Townies also kept dying and I swear, each member of the family saw a different one die and wanted to resurrect them. They all wanted to resurrect strangers but none of them wanted to resurrect either of their mums. Cold kids, cold.
Still, cake. We know what that means, right? Yes, all the kids made it to adulthood.
One of these girls is not like the others…
So here they are in all their glory. Rockery…
…who wants to be the Emperor of Evil…
And now for the two favourites. Golem…
And IceCream Slab. Yeah, from the front she’s cute (although you’ll have to take my word for it, not sure why I don’t have a decent picture), but from the side she’s all Knight.
Although I think IceCream Slab is cuter face-on, Golem’s profile is way better. So he’s the obvious heir, right?
But the thing is, in Rainbow Knights, I liked to have an heir who had genetics from both parents, and that’s perhaps more obvious in IceCream Slab than in Golem.
While I was deliberating, I moved the others out and Mandy in.
Her LTW is medicine.
So I decided on Golem…
…then IceCream Slab…
(Is this what Golem and Mandy’s offspring would look like?)
I never found IFs creepy before, but Eldrad does act like a jealous stalker…
Yes Eldrad, those were chimes you heard…
…and so were those.
So we went for one pretty genetic donor, two heirs, and three pregnancies… join us next time for the foliage generation to see how that all pans out!
