5. Starry Starry Knights
This update is brought to you by the words PAIN, IN, THE and ARSE. Which is about standard for this legacy these days.
So, last time, we moved to Isla Paradiso, brought in Teodor Medina and although his family tree said he had a kid, Palmira, she didn’t turn up. However, a recover missing sims operation later and she turned up.
Welcome to a future of babysitting.
The Dayes couldn’t get into the future, so when the portal thingy arrived on the Knights’ boat, I couldn’t resist.
To the future, Teodor!
Turns out the future, whilst pretty, was a bit boring. I guess things only happen when you get those pop-ups.
Speaking of happening, the kittens all grew up and I still don’t remember which is which.
I do know we kept Oblong to be the heir, though. Pretty sure he’s the bottom one.
Baby time! Teodor gave birth first. To our only boy…
… and two little girls…
Poor Palmira got to age up…
…and was immediately set to work.
Teodor wants to scuba dive for his LTW, so he got right on to it.
He looked like he was drowning so I told him to come back in.
But instead he drowned in the carpet.
I think this may be the first accidental death in this legacy.
Come on you, no sleeping. You’ve got three babies to care for and you still have to give birth.
There we go.
…and Zoom make this a four girl, one boy generation.
Life on the houseboat was sort of fun at first.
We found an island.
A babysitter came over while Pacer Mint took a water taxi around our island.
She smelled the flowers.
And it rained.
We got a new cat, Ice Cube, to mate with Oblong.
And it rained.
The kids became toddlers – Mars Bar
And Palmira got to be a teen
Who immediately got put on childcare duties
As did the maid.
And it rained some more.
Living on a houseboat is annoying when it rains – so much of it is outdoors.
The second university mascot turning up should have been a sign something was wrong.
Oblong and Ice Cube produced a litter of kitties.
Again, I am rubbish at which is which, but there are four of them…
Their names are:
A Perfect Circle
…and The Ink Spots
Kiddies age up time!
And Mars Bar
I think they were super-cute kids, so prepare for picspam…
Super adorable. And yes, Button Moon always does look a bit mardy.
You may have spotted a little something during that picspam.
‘Hooray! No more house boat for us!’
The houseboat save kept freezing. After hours and hours of attempting to solve it, I gave in and we started again in Sunlit Tides.
Which is just the prettiest.
Its residents aren’t too bad, I suppose.
Pacer Mint got old…
Young adult Palmira!
Despite never having attended a school in her life, Palmira graduated.
I love that Sunlit Tides has different rabbit holes.
And random singagrams.
I even let Palmira half-heartedly chat up a local.
I don’t know if I got them all in, but the top two are TheInkSpots and Dot Allison and I’m making them joint cat heirs.
Just before the kids aged up, we got a bit of townie spying done on their only day of school.
Cheer up, Button Moon, they aren’t that bad at all.
I see. You’re staying cheery then.
Given this is the cosmic gen, I thought we’d make the most of make-up.
Without make-up, this lot aren’t all that, but with it, they scrub up pretty well. Voyager is a bit of a Pacer face clone and Mars Bar and Button Moon look a lot like their dad. Astrid and Zoom are more of a mix, and of the two, I’m favouring Zoom.
That’s a good bed, young lady. You could get in it.
We invited local teens over to party/spouse hunt.
Some are better than others, but not a bad lot overall.
Although we did catch a cute one flirting with a less-cute one.
What’s up, Voyager?
‘I just… feel.. so… stuck.’
Yeah, despite getting rid of Palmira and excess cats and resetting all, we still got into a freezing loop.
‘Haven’t we been here before?’
Yeah, we started over yet again. In a new Sunlit Tides save. The things I do for this legacy.
We adopted a kitty. Our choice was elderly girl or girl kitten.
This lil’ kitty is Karen O
It was only after we got her and had gotten rid of the other cats that I realised both TheInkSpots and Dot Allison were girls. So I cheated and pollinated them.
The kids had lost all their relationships, so I sent them out around town again.
Snowcones give cute moodlets!
The park in Sunlit Tides isn’t as pretty as its equivalent in some other towns.
‘Here comes the rain again.’
Random pic of Zoom because she’s so adorable.
‘Is that the birthday chime I hear?’
Sure is. Mars Bar is hot-headed, family oriented, excitable, clumsy and a mooch.
His LTW is Ark Builder.
Voyager has learned the patented Captain Picard facepalm.
I love her so much, but she does look a lot like Pacer Mint. Her traits are: supernatural fan, brave, disciplined, excitable and unlucky. Her LTW is physical perfection.
Button Moon aged up in the same outfit she had on as a teen.
Her traits are: slob, athletic, heavy sleeper, artistic and… no sense of humour. You don’t say. Her LTW is vocal legend.
Astrid is family oriented, disciplined, neat, a genius and a light sleeper. For some reason I was able to choose her final trait despite them only doing 1 day of school ever. Her LTW is surrounded by family.
Much like her namesake, she likes to wait on everyone.
Zoom is a vegetarian, virtuoso, perceptive slob who loves the outdoors and wants to be a CEO.
‘Beam me up, Scotty.’
‘No, some mistake, surely? I’m moving, aren’t I?’
Afraid not, Zoom.
Button Moon seems to have become a taxi driver.
I set up a townie party for her to meet potential mates.
I fancied the look of this one.
And this one was unemployed with bad hair.
This one was cute…
…but I’m not sure I want werewolves in the family and I’m assuming the tail means something in that line?
Too many of them wear bad eyewear…
…or look a little seedy.
Here’s Karen O as a full-grown cat…
In time for six kitties (one litter of four, one of two). Most are girls, even the ones with boys’ names.
Again, they are all a bit interchangeable to me, but their names are (along the wood theme)…
Zoom rolled up a want to chat to the pretty bloke from earlier (whose name I forget).
And they were about to try for baby… when the game crashed. Oh well. We’d saved just a couple of moments earlier, so not too bad.
And at least when it rains all the time, you get a rainbow…
Join us next time for square/rectangle/check gen… if we can manage it, going on the stress of these past two gens!
