6. It’s hip to be square
‘Am I supposed to remember what on earth is going on here?’
Well, you are Zoom Knight, heir to the crashiest legacy in the world. Probably.
Your duff has been upped by this fellow, Roderick Lozano.
So I am not sure this is the most suitable recreational activity for you.
I swear this challenge is going to be the death of me. Never did I think a legacy on ultra-fast speed could drag its feet the way this one has, but the Knights are as crashy as ever, hence our long gap between posts yet again.
Still, I can’t get enough of the scenery in Sunlit Tides.
This is hilarious. The Knights’ money has all gone into their house. They have about 10 grand in cash, and that’s dwindling fast.
Now, if we were going on ‘most likely to die surrounded by cats’ that might be more appropriate.
Last time we were with you, a whole bunch of kittens were born, and now the house is overrun by felines.
This last one is Phil Oakey. The colour mix this genertion of cats is really interesting.
I decided to make The Doors the heir
And this is her mate, Woody Guthrie.
It’s not just the cats who’re mating, of course. And despite all the usual efforts, we just got twins.
Which should probably be spelled Battenberg, but too late now.
And we remembered the perils of super-speedy legacies.
I know Roderick. I didn’t want you to get old, either.
Although I have no problem with cats getting old so we can get rid of some.
Fortunately we’ve got Zoom pregnant again – partly to delay her ageing.
Their names are:
And Twisted Sister.
As usual, I can’t tell them apart at this stage.
Fortunately I colour-code the kids. This is Battenburg…
Someone decided to check out before the next baby/ies arrived… 😦
And for some annoying reason, it was baby singular.
This is Tartan.
With a baby and new kitties in the house, the training of the toddlers is non-existent.
And with our game freezing every single save, we decided it was time to move again. Hello, Roaring Heights.
And hello, more birthdays.
Unlike the others, we have time to skill Tartan.
Someone is mummy’s favourite.
As the kids might expect, I took full advantage of their names.
So Chess played a lot of chess
and Battenburg baked.
I sent the kids out to explore the new hood.
Which is not quite as nice as Sunlit Tides but still fairly pretty.
They were a bit non-plussed by the tourist centre type place.
And you would think the rollercoaster might give a moodlet or something.
Still, there’s enough to keep them entertained.
Even if, left on free will, they prefer homework.
Whilst Tartan gets skilled up.
We spied on the townie kids, even if you can never tell how they will really turn out until they hit teens.
Kittens became cats.
They have some ace colouring going on.
We chose Spinderella to be heir.
And this is her mate, InspiralCarpe(ts)
And our human kittens also grew. Here’s Tartan…
Zoom got, um, zoomed up by aliens. She seemed OK though.
I think Battenburg might be her face clone. The make-up and hair disguise it a bit, but I don’t see much of Roderick here.
And now for another townie check…
Could be cute with different hair.
Could be cute if she smiled.
As could she.
Tartan served us well by bringing a cute friend home.
‘Does this mean he will be the heir?’
Tartan turned into a not-at-all bad-looking teen
…who spent all day chatting up the maid when she should have been cleaning.
Meanwhile, MOAR KITTIES.
The one with white bits is a boy.
Called Def Leppard.
The other one is a girl
called Jungle Lion.
The twins aged up.
And Battenburg was sent packing for her clone-ness.
While I waited for Tartan to grow up, Chess got a job.
Cute magician costume! Poor Bunnicula Daye never got one of those.
He is pretty good-looking – but the downside of him being heir is if I wait until Tartan is old enough, he’ll be ancient himself and therefore will die sooner.
Tartan checks out the scenery…
I still quite like this one, though.
We interrupt mate-hunting for this piece of cute.
Which doesn’t last long, as Jungle Lion ages up…
…as does Def Leppard.
I declare him the winner of the cat prettacy, being its tenth gen. It’s harder to do a prettacy with animals, they’re all a bit much of a muchness.
Still, that won’t stop us now trying a cat uglacy with our new mate
Tartan ages up to look quite a bit like his brother.
He gets a kilt… and then I kick him out, as I think Chess is a bit cuter and a better mix between the two parents.
So now we pursue Lil’ Miss Red Cheeks, whose name is Shirley Templeton.
She is unflirty and has a boyfriend, so it might be a challenge.
She is so into him.
They both graduated.
As did Tartan.
Shirley was voted valedictorian. It was a beautiful event.
And then Zoom died.
Surrounded by her children.
And about five other elderly townies also died.
Shirley’s baby bump emerged and Chess aged up.
It was the most romantic setting for star-gazing.
And for this.
Our first Knight wedding in a long time!
A pregnant Shirley pulled some awesome dance moves to the kids’ music.
Join us next time to see how circles and spots gen turn out!
