7. Circle of life

Screenshot-1864

We left the Knights with Shirley about to pop out the first member(s) of circle gen, so without further ado, let’s get on with the show!

Screenshot-1866

Welcome to the family Domino…

Dominoes

Screenshot-1867

…Mr Blobby…

…and Ladybird.

Screenshot-1869

Chess got old 😦

Screenshot-1870

Now go and make more babies before you die.

Screenshot-1887

Here the triplets are as toddlers – Domino

Screenshot-1895

Ladybird

Screenshot-1894

and Mr Blobby. Sullen bunch, aren’t they?

Screenshot-1902

We managed to get all three of them trained, though, no mean feat on a 13-day lifespan.

Screenshot-1905

Meanwhile, Chess got abducted, just as his mother had before him. Nothing really occurred from it though.

Screenshot-1910

Spinderella died. At the same time…

Screenshot-1914

…as Shirley gave birth and a townie passed on…

Screenshot-1916

…and our new members of the cat uglacy were born:

China Black

and

Black Sabbath

Screenshot-1917

More triplets!

Bubble Wrap…

Screenshot-1884

…Smarties…

and a boy I forgot to photograph, whose name is

Hula Hoops.

Screenshot-1918

I know. Exhausting, isn’t it?

Screenshot-1921

Kids aged up – Ladybird.

Screenshot-1922

Domino, rocking a reverse ombre hair there.

Screenshot-1932

And Mr Blobby.

Would it kill any of you kids to crack a smile?

Screenshot-1937

Sigh.

Screenshot-1943

Sadface.

Screenshot-1941

Most emo gen ever.

Screenshot-1936

Not that the littlies are faring much better – Smarties…

Screenshot-1933

Hula Hoops…

Screenshot-1925

…and Bubble Wrap.

Screenshot-1944

‘What did I do to deserve such mardy children?’

No idea Chess, sorry.

Screenshot-1948

These two wanted to woo-hoo again. So… I made it risky…

Screenshot-1956

‘More babies?’

Afraid so, Bubble Wrap. At least you guys are in no danger of being orphaned too early.

Screenshot-1964

‘Such a pleasing development on my birthday.’

Screenshot-1960

‘New babies can go DIAF.’

Screenshot-1966

SO MUCH HAPPY.

Screenshot-1971

Being teens doesn’t cheer up the older triplets, either.

Screenshot-1972

I am trying to figure out if it’s just the colouring or if Mr Blobby really isn’t that attractive.

Screenshot-1968

Domino, on the other hand, is lovely. But without the make-up and hair, she’s a total Shirley clone.

Screenshot-1967

Ladybird at least seems more of a blend.

Screenshot-1973

Screenshot-1977

Screenshot-1982

Screenshot-1980

Screenshot-1979

Screenshot-1983

Would it kill any of you to smile, just once?

Screenshot-1985

Screenshot-1986

Screenshot-1987

Screenshot-1988

They are all super-emo but I think Domino just takes the prize for the best moody faces.

Screenshot-1951

The cats aged up. China Black…

Screenshot-1954

…and Black Sabbath.

Screenshot-1952

We made China Black the heir (they’re both male, by the way).

Screenshot-1994

Townie watch! No.

Screenshot-1990

Eh.

Screenshot-1991

Hmm.

Screenshot-1992

Nah.

Screenshot-1989

Oooh, nice.

Screenshot-1997

Nice colouring but notsomuch with the face.

Screenshot-2002

OMG WHY IS THIS NOT STILL AN UGLACY YOU AMAZING SPECIMEN.

Screenshot-2004

These two are still totally adorable.

Screenshot-2006

Time for Def Leppard to check out…

Screenshot-2011

…and as he ascends…

Screenshot-2012

…we welcome our final baby this gen!

lrgHAL988311020_twister_2_1000

Hello Twister. It’s going to be a pain waiting to see how pretty he is so I’m thinking the heir will come from the first six and if he’s the best looking he can be a joint heir.

Screenshot-2015

After all, time waits for no-one and they’re all getting older. Hula Hoops is a most chirpy teen…

Screenshot-2021

…as is Bubble Wrap, who is not as unattractive as she seems in this shot, she just likes to pout.

Screenshot-2036

Smarties is totally gorgeous, but a bit of a throwback to Zoom genetically.

Screenshot-2019

I normally let babies have a day before ageing them up but time is not on our side so I aged up Twister almost immediately.

Screenshot-2017

We needed to, as the oldest kids are now YAs. Domino is lovely looking when she’s not scowling, but she is a Shirley clone through and through.

Screenshot-2027

Mr Blobby didn’t turn out too badly, but he is a Chess face clone.

Screenshot-2035

Therefore, as a decent mixture of both parents, Ladybird gets to hang around until the next set of triplets age up.

Screenshot-2030

Screenshot-2031

Screenshot-2032

Meanwhile, Smarties got in on some toddler training.

Screenshot-2037

This gen are very studious, always autonomously reading or doing homework.

Screenshot-2050

Bless ’em.

Screenshot-2044

We tried forever for mates for China Black and none came up. In the end we were forced to adopt an elder female cat and edit her down to an adult in CAS.

Screenshot-2040

Meet Black Lace.

Screenshot-2045

Don’t panic – although Chess and Shirley are at it yet again…

Screenshot-2048

…she’s too old for more kids now.

Screenshot-2054

Oh Smarties, why must you be such a clone?

Screenshot-2049

Difficult to tell how Twister will turn out, but he’s a cute enough kid.

Screenshot-2062

Hula Hoops as an adult – not really feeling it.

Screenshot-2059

Nor am I putting Bubble Wrap in charge of a prettacy.

Screenshot-2066

Smarties is totally gorgeous, but she’s also a total Zoom clone. So instead of being heir, she’s my next entrant in Boolprop’s Next Top Model.

Screenshot-2068

Which means Ladybird is going to have to take her chances at heirdom as she’ll be an elder before Twister ages up and I don’t want to put all the eggs in his basket. As she’s turning into a full-grown adult in this shot, things are “interesting”.

Screenshot-2070

Time for more townie hunting, then. And am I late to the party in not noticing this Sims 4 mural in Roaring Heights?

Screenshot-2073

Perfectly timed throwing the diploma / father passing over shot.

Screenshot-2090

This town is a full-on clone zone. Look at all the sims with default EA faces. I want none of their babies. The pretty girl I saw as a child doesn’t even exist now. Stupid town.

Screenshot-2105

So I sent Ladybird to university in desperation. I hope this mascot isn’t a sign of things to come.

Screenshot-2109

Screenshot-2110

Screenshot-2106

Screenshot-2107

Screenshot-2115

Screenshot-2114

Screenshot-2116

So far, so ho-hum.

Screenshot-2117

O hello.

Screenshot-2119

Not only is he cute, he’s black, which is a godsend given the Aryan dominated ethnic cleansing programme that is story progression (both EA’s and NRaas’). I am sick of every single hood being a bland sea of white face ones. Hurrah for diversity!

Screenshot-2125

His name is Steve Texas.

Screenshot-2127

And whilst these two are friends, he’s unflirty. Bah. I also learned that pollinating a sim at uni doesn’t work although at least they don’t age there.

Screenshot-2131

Back home and one single, solitary kitten is born.

Called Simply Red. (Insert jokes about ugly gingers here if you must)

Screenshot-2135

Twister’s an OK looking teen but not stunning enough for me to get rid of Ladybird just yet. He’s as cheerful as his siblings.

Screenshot-2136

Shirley got arrested. Grief has made her badass.

Screenshot-2139

So I had to cheat a bit. Ladybird came back from uni at her max adult span and we invited Steve over straight away, but it would take a day for him to get here. I couldn’t pollinate her with his genes until he came to town, so I had to pollinate her with a random townie and then cancel the pregnancy when he turned up. The perils of super-short life spans.

Screenshot-2140

I added him to the household straight away and had him go for a heat of the moment kiss, even though sims always reject these.

Screenshot-2141

Except Ladybird.

Screenshot-2142

Girl is obsessed with him, even if he’s a little less bothered.

Screenshot-2143

He then got electrocuted! I’ve never seen that before.

Screenshot-2144

I didn’t catch them in the act, but they tried for baby in Chess and Shirley’s sex shower. Then Ladybird pranced around nude. So skeevy.

Screenshot-2145

Twister aged up and whilst neither he nor Ladybird are the best looking this gen (I’d say Domino and Smarties) they do both have a great blend of genetics, and I decided they could both make heir – not least as he’s a bit younger so may live long enough for the kids to be teens.

Screenshot-2154

Just in time, as Steve’s ageing up to adult and trying to pretend he shouldn’t be in a prettacy.

Screenshot-2148

MOAR kitties. Four this time – not sure which is which, but their names are:

3 Colours Red

Red Dragon

Red Box

and

Scarlet

Screenshot-2152

I can’t pollinate men effectively at the moment, not sure why, so I’ll instababy the boys’ offspring. Meet them and the product(s) of Ladybird and Steve’s amour next chapter when we welcome wood generation!

  1. Such pretty sims, I love how multiple generations brings out so many pretty colours. Though I totally agree with you about SP preferring the white genes. I had a dark and white sim have 10 children and only 2 of them were anywhere close to dark. Half a mind to manually populate an entire town with non-white townies and see how long it takes for it to be bred out.

I think Ladybird was a good choice, even if she’s not the prettiest, can’t have more clones running around. Looking forward to the Wood generation!

I regularly populate the Knights’ hoods with brightly coloured sims too. Only once (back in the early days of Rainbow Knights) did any babies come of that.
